ENGLISH SADDLES

Our saddles are made in the West Midlands, England, which houses the established home of English saddle making. They are traditionally hand made by skilled craftsmen and are fashioned with great attention to detail and quality, not mass manufactured on a production line. We also like to ensure the finest leather which is why we use top quality English leather to make our saddles.

The West Midlands leather and saddle making industry in Walsall is thought to date back to the 16th century. By the late 19th century Walsall had become internationally renowned for its leather trade and had developed as the traditional home of English saddle making. Walsall still makes saddles for the Royal family and leather goods for the Prince of Wales. The Saddlers Centre (a shopping centre located in Walsall, West Midlands, United Kingdom) even takes its name from the town's saddle manufacturing heritage. In 1988 its abundant leather industry was also acknowledged when the Princess Royal opened Walsall Leather Museum.
